Why I love Pinterest!

By March 7, 2013October 30th, 2017Blog, Inspiration

Last September I joined Pinterest. Many people had told me I simply must be on it and get involved, a  fabulous way of showcasing my paintings. Creating labeled boards for all my collections and introducing  the world of Pinterest to my art is wonderful but there is so much more to it than that.

It is a treasure trove of beautiful imagery.

I have stumbled across paintings I have always loved but forgotten I did, they now have a place to live so they won’t be forgotten again in my board ‘Paintings I admire’  alongside thrilling new discoveries.

Everywhere I look there are images that inspire me and echo what I’ve already painted.  Trees, flowers, clouds, rocks, rooftops, textures…….

Blue Ice from my ‘Passion’ Collection is a perfect example of how images I’ve collected and pinned on my aerial photographs board reflect my work.

With my board ‘Lovely Things’  I now have a place to put adorable things that make me smile.

Top of my wish list is  ‘Eight Old Curlews’ by Guy Taplin. Just gorgeous!

These delicate ballet shoes bring back fond memories of when I trained to be a dancer and worked as a Theatre designer.

I have many more boards that you may like to have a look at – http://pinterest.com/jessicazoobart/ and I would love to hear from you if you too are a Pinterest Addict!

If you’re not…yet… then be warned!

It is a great escape and you can easily get lost in its alluring pages so you may need to allocate ‘Pin’ time and have an alarm set that will snap you out of your pinning addiction!
