Since my Artwave Open House Festival I have been busy updating my online store. The miniature collection is always popular at my open house as they are a great way to start collecting art and make perfect gifts. They can stand up like ornaments or hang on a wall.
One visitor told me she moves her miniature around from room to room, shelf to shelf depending on the season and where the sun is shining. I love the idea of my miniatures being such a part of peoples homes.
Each miniature is unique, a collection of individual dreamscapes inspired by the East Sussex countryside. The big paintings are so physically and emotionally demanding that it is lovely to make something you can hold in your hand, it is a more intimate and tender process – almost like making a hat.
I recently added some new original works to my online store and now there are 10 original miniatures too.
