I am delighted to return to Decorex for the second year and will be showing my first ever ‘architectural sculptures’ created in collaboration with Swarovski Crystals and Karl Smith of Carved Oak.
I am calling the piece Adventure and I think you will see why if you visit my Stand!!
The sculptures were inspired by this year’s Decorex theme, ‘Silk Route‘ which I have really enjoyed being part of. So appropriate for me as I spent time in China as a student and it had a profound influence on me both as a person and an artist.
This year Decorex is being held at the prestigious new venue – Kensington Palace! Today I will be installing the sculptures and setting up my stand – F24. Wish me luck I am terrified!
The sculptures are incredibly heavy and fragile so it will be a huge relief to have them in place!
Here’s a sneak preview –
There are so many wonderful exhibitors at Decorex this year. I am particularly looking forward to seeing Alternative Flooring, the beautiful hand printed and woven designs from Blithfield and Company, stunning textile artist – Claire Coles and Munna, furniture designers that blend tradition and creative innovation.
I’m also looking forward to seeing the new Decorex Outdoor & Lifestyle tents. Perfectly positioned in front of the Queen Anne Orangery, and adjacent to Kensington Palace, the tents will house focused seminars in collaboration with leading landscape architects and interior designers, alongside outdoor living and lifestyle brands.
So do come and find me on stand F24 and walk through the show stopping entrance designed by internationally acclaimed interior designer Kit Kemp MBE not forgetting to stop by the champagne bar designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. They will reveal their ambitious proposal to create a Champagne bar with an alternative twist and double the size of previous years!
It is going to be a fabulous event! Good luck to everyone taking part! xxxx
