I am so lucky to live in the beautiful historic town of Lewes with its thriving high street.
There are many wonderful independent retailers in Lewes and East Sussex. Unique shops offering a treasure trove of lovely things. If I need to buy a gift or something new for my home I am always spoilt for choice. I am a huge supporter of local business and find it a far more enjoyable experience than a soulless shopping centre. I would definitely recommend a trip to Lewes for your Christmas shopping!

Also must mention lovely mini department store Wickle , the best florist in town Lewesiana , Jonathan Swan’s jewellery workshop and the imaginative, bespoke Kings Framers

I can’t write about independent shops without mentioning i gigi general store in Hove. So many people had told me about it and I realised why when I finally paid a visit. Everything in i gigi is completely gorgeous!
I bought this perfect soap dish but could have bought everything!!
