Loughran Gallery’s anniversary show, appropriately named ONE to celebrate their first birthday launches next Thursday.
NEO Bankside is the stunning venue, next door to the Tate Modern and the show runs until December 20th.
Some of my own favourite pieces that I am so excited to show will be in this amazing space:
I will be introducing my sculpture, Adventure in collaboration with Swarovski: it nearly killed both of us but I think has been worth it. I should be more careful what I name my artworks in the future!
The Wishing Tree will also be at ONE. Another labour of love made with Karl Smith. Come along, tie on a thread and make your own wish…..
It will also be the last opportunity to see all six paintings of Passion together:
I have absolutely loved being involved with the dynamic Loughran gallery. This year I was part of the fabulous ‘pop up’ gallery ArtTing at Boxpark in August followed by my own solo show ‘Dancing With Colour’
Juliette Loughran set up her own art gallery because she hated art galleries:
“The sterile white-washed walls, the oppressing silences, and the stony glares of assistants all make for one of the most uncomfortable experiences you could perhaps ever undergo in culture. “
She has certainly turned the experience of viewing art on it’s head, making it fun and exciting and I love her for it!
So what else can we expect from the next thrilling show?
Works from world famous artists including Damien Hirst, Marc Quinn and Harland Miller and exciting paintings from Lara Carew-Jones and Dave White, artists I have only recently discovered.
I particularly adore Dave White’s delicate hummingbirds:
This will be an unmissable show so I do hope you can make it!
Love Jessica xx
