I have decided to embrace the Autumn gloom this week by discovering lovely colourful and creative things.
Beautiful floral photography brightening up dreary days on Instagram
Capture by Lucy – Making the ordinary extraordinary.
The Lovely Drawer – styling enthusiast
Anthropocene – Underwater Sculpture by Jason deCaires Taylor
Illustration and styling on Facebook
This beautifully illustrated Lewes map with such intricate detail is by local artist Malcolm Trollope-Davis. A perfect Christmas gift!
Whimsical Autumn styling from the very lovely Shirlie Kemp
Glorious glass and ceramics on Twitter
Laura Smith creates sculptural, decorative and functional forms combining blown glass and copper.
Grayson Perry turned his attention to identity on Channel 4’s Who are You? creating portraits – from tapestries to sculptures and pots – of diverse individuals who are all trying to define who they are. This is a representation of Chris Huhne. Grayson Perry felt the smashing & glueing of this ceramic made it more ‘vulnerable’ I agree…beautiful piece.
