What is Contemporary Fine Art?

The Wikipedia definition of Contemporary Fine Art is:

Contemporary art is art produced at the present point in time. Contemporary art includes, and develops from, Postmodern Art, which is itself a successor to Modern Art

The Online Dictionary definition of Contemporary Fine Art is:

Contemporary art, the art of the late 20th cent and early 21st cent, both an outgrowth and a rejection of Modern Art

There are of course so many amazing and well known Contemporary Artists working today, here are a few of the perhaps less recognised ones which I have discovered via @Pinterest and who I would like to learn more about.
